About a year ago we stopped to eat at a restaurant in Burger and later walked into MeMa's to see what it was like. We quickly realized that we should have gone there instead. Well, that was easily corrected when we stopped off for lunch today.
The decor is really nice with a very warm and welcoming staff. After perusing the menu for a couple of minutes I ordered the catfish with sweet potatoes and fried green beans. It was the best catfish I have ever eaten. Very moist with a nice crisp on the breading. The sweet potatoes had a touch of cinnamon added and were excellent, as were the green beans.
Teresa got the special, a brisket sandwich with provolone and caramelized onions. I took a taste and the meat melted in my mouth. Amazing.
It won't be another year before we go back. Stop by sometime and see what I mean. They have a website for more information.
