Okay, there are many restaurant review blogs out here in cyber-space, but this one is a bit different. First, there won’t be any reviews of five-star or Michellin rated restaurants here, unless I accidently walk into one. Most reviews will be of burger places, brewpubs, and Italian and Chinese restaurants. Chains will be reviewed by location, as will locally owned restaurants. My reviews are of simple food at places regular people go.
The primary region is the Mid-Hudson Valley of New York, that’s where I live and eat. I do travel quite a bit though, so there will be reviews from all over, Chicago, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New Orleans, and a whole lot more.
My qualifications? I grew up in a restaurant. I like to cook. I like to eat. If you saw a full picture of me, you'd understand that last one. Never trust a skinny cook, or a skinny food critic. Besides, life is too short to eat crappy food. My wife and I go out at least twice a week. We have our favorite places and sometimes we try someplace new. When we do we often enjoy it, but sometimes we say, “Cross that place off our list.”
